Two brand-new GORE-TEX® boots from Italian footwear specialist TCX are now in stock in UK dealers.
Baja GORE-TEX®
As the name suggests, TCX drew inspiration from the famous Mexico rally to create its new flagship adventure touring boot, the Baja GORE-TEX®. The reliable, comfortable and light-weight boot is designed with versatility in mind and can be used both on- and off-road, as well as for light enduro and long-distance travel on any terrain.
The GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort Footwear liner ensures that the boot can be worn in all weathers, guaranteeing 100% waterproof protection. The upper is constructed from full grain leather, with a “lived in” look, combined with suede front and rear padded areas to increase comfort. There is a soft, padded upper collar and an anatomic and replaceable footbed.
The fastening mechanism comprises three interchangeable, micro-adjustable aluminium buckles with an ergonomic grip. The top buckle has reinforced PU protection to better absorb impact. The boots feature a newly-designed ergonomic shin plate, PU malleolus toe and heel inserts, plus an internal suede heat guard for maximum grip.
The Baja GORE-TEX® features a newly-designed, high performance sole with differentiated grip areas made of a special rubber compound to offer superior stability and traction on any surface.
The boot is available in black in sizes 38-48 with an RRP of £299.99. TCX also offers the Baja Waterproof, with the same styling but featuring a waterproof liner rather than GORE-TEX®. It is available in Black and Brown with an RRP of £259.99.
Hero GORE-TEX®
Joining the hugely popular Hero Waterproof boot in the TCX vintage series, the Hero GORE-TEX® has a vintage look with superior technical qualities, appealing to riders who like retro styling but don’t want to compromise on protection. It is both fashionable and functional.
The upper is constructed from fine full grain leather, guarding a lining with a GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort Footwear membrane, which makes the boot ideal for use in any weather. It fastens using laces and features a zip on the inside of the boot with a velcro band at the top, eliminating the need to redo the laces on every wear.
There are toe and heel counters – to protect from impacts and secure the foot – and malleolus protection. The footbed is anatomic and replaceable and the sole has been designed with a specific tread to offer a superior grip on any terrain. The boot is CE Certified according to EN 13634:2015 regulations.
The Hero GORE-TEX® is available in black in sizes 36-48 with an RRP of £219.99. The original Hero Waterproof is also still available in Brown with an RRP of £179.99.
