Introducing the 2020 TCX Boots collection – plus see them all at Motorcycle Live 2019…

The 2020 TCX Boots collection has been revealed, with some of the new models starting to arrive in UK dealers as early as November.

Whether riders are looking for racing, touring, off-road or casually styled boots, the TCX Boots range has something to offer. All TCX boots are CE-approved so riders can be sure they’ll be well protected.

Racing Line

There will be four colours options available in the RT-Race Pro Air line-up for 2020, with a new black/red/white design joining the line-up with an RRP of £299.99. With perforated microfibre on the upper and an Airtech breathable soft-touch mesh lining, they’re perfect for riding in hot climates. They also feature a Michelin® Burnout double compound rubber sole with a specific grip area inspired by the ‘Power Supersport Evo’ tyre.

Brand-new for 2020 is the ST-Fighter GORE-TEX®. A track performance boot, but one that will keep your feet dry no matter the weather. It boasts the TCX’s Torsion Control System (T.C.S.®), polyurethane heel guard, shin plate, shift pad and replaceable slider. They have an RRP of £249.99 and are available in black.

Touring Line

Joining the Touring Adventure Line is the Baja Mid Waterproof in black. With the same high specification as the Baja Mid Waterproof, riders can now choose from brown or black, both with an RRP of £199.99.

Introduced last year, the Clima Gore-Tex Surround® boots were the first motorcycling boots to feature the innovative Gore-Tex Surround® technology. New for 2020, TCX has launched the Airwire GORE-TEX Surround®. They feature a microfibre and breathable abrasion-resistant fabric on the upper of the boot and a Ortholite® footbed with long term cushioning and high levels of breathability to complement the GORE-TEX Surround® technology. Slightly shorter in length to the Clima boots, they’re a great option for those riders who prefer short, summer boots with superior climate comfort. They have an RRP of £229.99.

Also new for the Touring Line is the Explorer 4 GORE-TEX®. Brand-new for 2020, the classic touring boots feature the TCX Comfort Fit System (C.F.S) – as do all boots in the touring range. Developed as a result of years of TCX know-how, this technique allows the boot to be shaped on a mould to reproduce the foot’s anatomy, making it extremely comfortable and ideal for prolonged use. They feature a wear-resistant rubber outsole with differentiated grip areas for superior stability on any terrain. They have an RRP of £169.99.

Vintage Series

Brand-new for the Vintage Series is the Rook Waterproof. Featuring an oiled nubuck leather upper with a fabric panel, they have a T-Dry waterproof liner and an Ortholite footbed. With a vintage look straight out the box and TCX’s Comfort Fit System, these won’t need any bedding in. They have an RRP of £164.99 and are available in black or brown.

24/7 range

New for 2020 is the Rush 2 Waterproof with a T-Dry waterproof lining. Available in black and grey/yellow fluo, these all-weather boots are perfect for those who like a sporty looking but casual boot, and they have an RRP of £109.99. Also joining the range is the Rush 2 Air with perforated microfibre on the upper and an Airtech breathable lining on the inside. Available in gunmetal, they also have an RRP of £109.99.

The all-weather District Waterproof boots will also form part of the 24/7 range and will be available in a choice of black and gunmetal/black with an RRP of £179.99. Complete with a T-Dry waterproof membrane, an Ortholite footbed and wear-resistant TPU sole, the District boots are the perfect choice for riders looking for a casually-styled but fully protective boot.

The popular Street Ace Waterproof boots are now available in grey/natural rubber for 2020 with an RRP of £124.99 and ladies will now have the choice of a grey/glacier colour option in the Street Ace Lady Waterproof boot. Also new for 2020 is a native leather colour option in the ventilated Street Ace Air.

The new additions keep on coming, with the Staten Waterproof entering the 24/7 range. With a full-grain leather with stretch side panel, they feature a T-Dry waterproof lining, Ortholite footbed and wear-resistant rubber sole – complete with a vintage look. Available in black/grey and anthracite/grey, they have an RRP of £149.99.

Off Road Line

The top-of-the-range Comp Evo 2 Michelin introduces a new black/white colour option for 2020, the X-Blast introduces a white/black/yellow fluo option and the Comp Kid will also be available in black/white.

A new gain to the Off Road Line is the Terrain 3 Waterproof available in anthracite with an RRP of £239.99. The all-weather boot is perfect for trial or light enduro use. It features TCX’s ‘ideal’ stitching sole construction technique, a craft-based construction process that guarantees comfort, hard-wearing resistance and flexibility of the footwear.

The ‘ideal’ construction process outlined: The leather upper, prepared with the outer edges bonded and pressed onto a dedicated midsole, is stitched vertically. The yarn employed, which used to be cotton, and then replaced by nylon or synthetic material, is dipped in a purpose-designed boiler full of melted tar to ensure the yarn and holes are totally waterproof. T.C.S® – The Torsion Control System® allows lateral and longitudinal movement of the ankle within its physiological limits, preventing excessive torsion and the risk of joint fracture. The main structure is composed of a double-heel counter and an interchangeable, polyurethane frame that allows lateral and longitudinal movement of the ankle, preventing torsion beyond natural limits. This structure is connected to central body sewn to the upper, connecting the top to the bottom of the boot to guarantee excellent hold.
